You see, when I find the time to blog I most often do it from the office located on the second floor of our house. The office is basically a death trap for Carter. I have all sorts of Final Destination visions when he's in this room with me as there are more sharp corners just waiting to connect with a forehead than I can count on all fingers and toes. That's why I let him roam free in the upstairs hallway with access to only his room and the bathroom.
You know somebody's up to no good when the house suddenly goes silent. Rarely is there a moment when somebody isn't banging blocks or rocks or pots and pans together or blabbering away a mile a minute. It's when that sudden silence creeps in that you know something is awry.
This is how C decided to pass the time while I was blogging the other day. I can only imagine that eventually the toilet paper will be replaced with dirt, mud and other well, boy-ish things. I love being a boy Mom. Especially to such a funny little boy. I also love having the opportunities to catch C paper red-handed. Kids do the darndest things, don't they?
Happy Thursday, Loyals! Make it a great one.
HAHAHAHA! This is so great! The innocence and imagination of a young child! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! My daughter discovered TP about the same age. At 3 and a half she uses it to "decorate" the house from time to time. Pretty cheap as toys go.
ReplyDeleteVanessa
Okay I love him so much. Such a cutie-pa-tootie.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that you compare your house upstairs to final destination.
OMG this is my life. Every day. I hate it. How is it that I look at other people's kids doing it and think that it's SO CUTE but when mine does it? I GO BAT SHIT CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteO my gosh he looks so so so grown up in the second photo!
ReplyDeleteOh your pics are so cute!! My youngest girl (ahem i call her our boy) is 11 months too and does the same thing!!
ReplyDeleteBahaha! I love this expression--hilarious! What a silly boy. Love him!
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! My baby (toddler - 16 months) will get one piece off at a time and clean other items in the bathroom, like the cabinet, or the door, or the floor, or his little potty. It is rather amusing, and kind of OCD-ish!
ReplyDeleteI know you are a safe momma, but just because I am a freakazoid...do you have a lock on your toilet? We just installed one on ours because my son learned to open and close the lid and found it rather fascinating. I would rather not find him face down in the toilet so we added that :-) Alright, my craziness is over and I hope I didn't offend you in anyway by asking that.
HIs expressions are priceless!
ReplyDeletethat is adorable!!! I love how wrapped up he is in all of that paper, ahhhh xxooo
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Such funny pics. At least the TP was all he got into. ;)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! You DEFINITELY know something is happening when it gets quiet! One time I walked into the bathroom and my daughter was sitting in the toilet fully clothed, wrapping herself and the back of the toilet in TP. Awesomeness. :o) Those are times you can't even get mad because it's just so funny! :o)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about it being too quiet and something must be up! Once Tommy discovered the TP we made sure we just kept the bathroom doors closed. He now will point out to us if the door isn't closed. But I forgot last week and we had a similar situation...and my camera battery was charging. Oh well! Glad you got such cute pics!
ReplyDeleteThat face he's making in the pic is too cute! I love it. Is it bad I actually look forward to when Ty will be interested in toilet paper so he'll stay busy and quiet for a good chunk of time?
ReplyDeleteummm I love your shower curtain.
ReplyDeleteAnd he is too adorable (even being mischievous!)
I can only hope Beckett is as awesome as Carter. We might need to plan a trip of "kid influence" in the near future :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is hilarious! Way to go Carter! =)
ReplyDeleteThose ears are precious. I'd usually say a quiet house is, but in the case of our young boys, it always signals trouble. Always (if also cute trouble).
ReplyDeleteso freakin cute! is it odd that my cat houston does the same thing haha
ReplyDeletegosh I love your blog. Cause I have two little boys and relate to EVERYTHING you have to say!!! boys and toilet paper, what gives???
ReplyDeleteFirst of all those pics are presh! I love his expression! and 2nd.. I love that you let him do it! I know a lot of moms who would scold the lad for playing in the TP but what does it hurt? Its harmless cheap fun, and FUNNY! One of my dogchildren was a TP lover. It looked like it had snowed in our house every other day! Peebs doesn't care much for it yet, or has not discovered it yet I should say.
ReplyDeleteand.. It is so weird seeing C stand up. AHHH
