How can you resist a virtual dog?
Especially an adorable one
like my personal Cube Dog, "Duke?"

When Clever Girls offered me the opportunity to jump onboard and review this app I didn't think twice. It immediately brought me back to my childhood days of loving on and caring for one of those handheld virtual pets. You know the ones I'm talking about. Giga pets, anyone? What a game that was!

The first thing that stood out about the Cube Dog app was that right from the start your dog is fully customizable. From the shape and size of his head, to the color of his fur, to the beadiness of eyes and wagging tongue, there are so many options to choose from!

Believe me when I say this, Sheepie is more than enough dog for the M Family, but our Cube Dog "Duke" was the perfect addition! No muss, no fuss! And especially, no mess to clean up after! Even Carter loved playing with him and it was a welcome 15 minute reprieve from the daily "mommy gimmies."

Despite only being 10 months old, the Cube Dog App held my son's attention for 15 minutes! That is unheard of in our house! Carter loved using his little fingers to manipulate Cube Dog, moving him all over the screen and making him do tricks.

One of the things I love most about this app is the ability to photograph your Cube Dog in real time, no matter where you are! Here's a picture of "Duke" enjoying a swim in Carter's baby pool!

Seriously. How cool is that?

Cube Dogs are fully engaging, with a personality all their own. You can rub their belly and they'll smile with contentment. Shake your phone one too many times and your Cube Dog will come to life with an attitude out of this world! "Duke" whipped out his ninja stars and started going all Kung-Fu on our butts! It definitely gave both me and Carter a good laugh. Leave your Cube Dog alone for a bit and he'll fall asleep, scratch behind his ears and he'll go all googly-heart-eyed on you!

If I told you that I bust out my Cube Dog app almost daily, would you think less of me? It's even fun for a late twenty-something Mama like me!

Best of all? The podotree inc. Cube Dog iPhone app is free. So, what are you waiting for? Download your Cube Dog today! This app is compatible with both iPhone3 and 4 as well as the iPod 4 touch with camera.

If you have a minute, swing on by their Facebook Page and give them a "Like" and watch for a fun contest June 13th-17th.

While Cube Dog provided me with the app to review, the opinions I've expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Cube Dog, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog With Integrity.
