"It's My Birthday And I'll Give Away A May Books If I Want To...."

Excuse me while I put on this here Princess tiara as I sit down to write this post. Happy Birthday to me. Twenty-nine years. 

Birthdays are a big deal to me. It's the one day of the year that I truly believe can (and should) be all about you. It's your day. Do whatever you want. Splurge. Relax. Indulge. 

Today is my day.

In fact, I plan on doing all three of those things today, over and over and over again. Only this year, with three of my favorite men in my life. The Husband asked what I wanted for my birthday this year and without missing a beat I simply replied, "three hours, all to myself, with nobody wanting me." He thought I was kidding. Needless to say, I am not. 

Every year I treat myself to something pretty. In years past it's been Burberry wellies, a brand new Fall wardrobe from JCrew and even a pair of pretty new baubles in a bright blue box. It was during these years that I also had a full-time job.

This year, I treated myself to a darling new planner. And not one of those life planners that you've been hearing so much about. I've already had one of those and I just didn't need all of the bells and whistles that it came with. In fact, I was rather overwhelmed by it. The stickers, the labels, the plastic pouch- I just didn't need it. 

I need a pretty place to see all of my days laid out before me. I need a pretty place to scribble ideas and appointments and my childrens' milestones. 

I need a May Books. So that's exactly what I treated myself to. A custom May Books Academic Agenda. Who doesn't love something they can monogram, no?

My planner should be here in a few days but even though I haven't yet laid my hands on it, I know I'm going to love it. That's why, as a present to one of you, dear Loyals, I'm going to customize a May Books Academic Agenda for you.
