My Halloween House. See? I Wasn't Kidding!

Yesterday, I posted about how much my Dad and I love Halloween (and candy). In that post, I also mentioned that we always had the best decorated house on the block. Okay, "best" doesn't even describe it. Take a look for yourself...

What's even spookier? My Dad would remove the plate glass from our front door and dress as the Grim Reaper, sitting on a chair behind the door, turning his head to follow the movements of the trick-or-treaters. Okay, now tell me that wouldn't make you pee your pants? No? Well, how about when he would reach through the door, where the glass should have been, to hand you your candy? That is, if you even made it up to the front door...

  1. Wow, girlie! You guys went all out!! When I was a kid, I was lucky if my parents put out a jack-o-lantern! And I would have totally peed in my pants!

  3. I wouldn't even make it to your house. In fact, I would probably pick up my pace a bit when I walked past it. LoL And if by some act of insanity I did go up there, your dad at the door would surely send me into cardiac arrest! LoL

    Fun though (=

  6. Oh I LOVE IT! WHen I was little I lived in this 100 year old house with a wrap around porch that was 3 stories tall. To get to it you had to walk down the long driveway and down a long sidewalk. At Halloween my parents would go all out! Putting things in all the windows, cobwebs, creepy music, fog, flashing lights and my dad would dress up in full native american dress with a full headdress and war paint. He never said a word or cracked a smile. It was so scary that the teenage boys would always stand at the end of the driveway and dare one another to come up!
    I love halloween. :)

  9. That looks great! We went to a house every year that had a stuffed scarcrow sitting on the porch all season....on trick or treat night, the guy would dress up and sit there instead and then scare the crap out of you when you came up the steps. Some years he did it, other years he didn't...you never knew what you were getting. I stopped going, hahah.
