M-I-C-K-E-Y... The Most Fun With A Four Dollar Shirt.

As soon as I spotted this four dollar shirt while perusing the clothing racks at Target, I knew I had to buy it. We all know C is obsessed with Mickey. I prefer to call him the Creepy Mouse With The Large White Hands And Effeminate Voice, but you say "tomato" and I say "tomahto." In retrospect, I probably should have bought one in every size.

C and Mickey? They're tight.

That's a picture of C "showing Mama Mickey." Whenever I would ask him to do so, he'd point and rub his belly and laugh. When I first put him in the shirt and he saw himself in the mirror? He started dancing the same way that he does when the Hot Dog Song comes on. Seriously, could my heart melt any more?

And here's a picture of him telling me all about Mickey. I mean, he should know all about him being that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is virtually DVR'd on just about every TV in our house. All 25 episodes that we have saved, that is. I think he would agree with me when I say, "you can never, ever have enough Mickey."

Well, it looks like we know what the theme of Birthday Number Two is going to be, eh? Oh, those eyes

Yes, C, you can have whatever you want forever and ever.

I know, I know. Typically I try to post something with a little bit more substance on a Monday, but this weekend I had my hands full with two family mini sessions! I have to say I'm so grateful that ever since launching my little side hobby, I can't seem to put the camera down... Happy Monday!

  1. This is so funny - I just said a few days ago that with the obsession my Carter has with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, I think that will be our theme for Birthday #2. Great minds think alike! (or creepy mice continue to suck our children in and put a spell on them)

  2. Love this and I now LIKE your Facebook photography page. Great pictures!

  3. Can we just skip through the character purchasing phase? For some reason, I can't bring myself to buy character clothing. Looks cute on other kids but I just.can' Maybe those shirts from 10 years ago that had those awful sayings for kids ruined me? You know, the one that says, "My kid beat up your honor student." Gah! Teaching has really jaded me.

  4. doesn't get better than MMCH in our house. KP got a Mickey ride on/push toy for her bday and it plays the theme song, needless to say it's her fave thing EVER!

  5. C & K would be so darling dancing the hot dog song together! Kate is totally obsessed too!

And, FYI, all MMCH episodes are only $2 on the iPad! We have tons since we don't have Mickey on DVR in the hospital! Total life saver!

  6. Dang! HE IS SO CUTE!

Love the Mickey Shirt. I may have to get Easton one. We watch Mickey during breakfast and he always brings a smile! :)

  7. I think that boy's going to need a trip to Disney World soon! :o)

  8. I think it's hilarious that Carter already has a favorite cartoon character! Jamie won't sit through an episode long to even comprehend what's on the TV let alone recognize anything he's seen. I guess I shouldn't complain, in a few years I probably won't be able to get him away from the TV!

  9. He looks sooooooo grown up in the last photo

  10. PRECIOUS little guy!!!! And I'm so happy for you .... way to go on starting your own thing! Sounds like fun and just might turn out to be a crazy lucrative thing [I know you've seen how expensive great, prof. photos can be!].

  11. Oh man... that is cute! When I was prego, the hubby and I said we would NOT let our baby get hooked into that (obnoxious) silly kid TV jazz. Well, let me tell you, we now watch ANYTHING that will make Xander sit still for more than 3 seconds - including MMCH, wiggles, and a ridiculous amount of Baby Einstein (seriously trippy stuff). Glad that we are in good company!
