Christmas Stocking Hanging Rod :: Easy DIY

After seeing this picture on both the blog and Instagram earlier this week, a few of you emailed and inquired as to how I hung our stockings from the rod on the mantle, where did I find the rod, etc.

This was so ridiculously easy and of course I came across the idea on Pinterest a while back. All you need is two standard stocking holders and a cheap curtain extension rod that can be found in any Michaels, Joann Fabrics, Walmart, Hobby Lobby-type store.

With our growing family, I knew I wouldn't be able to run out and find matching stocking holders to the ones I already owned. Using the curtain rod was an inexpensive way to display each one of our family stockings using what I already had.

See? I told you it was easy!
