Happy Hour With AP + C: An ILYMTC Original
Riddle me this, Loyals. What do you get when you mix Minute Maid's Pomegranate Lemonade with Cupcake Prosecco?
Give up? Well, only the lightest, most deliciously refreshing champagne cocktail this side of the... Of the... Okay, you get the point. It's just really good.
Don't fret dear Loyals, your eyes do not deceive you. It is, in fact, not Friday but Thursday. I thought perhaps I'd share this delish little recipe with you a day early this way it can be enjoyed once 2pm 5pm rolls around tomorrow!
And what's even better? It's made up of only two store bought ingredients. A little pour here and a little pour there.. Wha-la! The Happiest of Hours.
Sure, you can use any champagne you'd like for this concoction. I'm partial to a Prosecco and this SAHMama and Champagne Lovah can't argue with a tasty Prosecco for $10. The Minute Maid Pomegranate Lemonade is available in your grocer's dairy aisle most likely right next to the OJ.
OJ. Mmm. Did someone say Mimosas? Maybe this weekend.
Since I made this drink up, I think it's best served in a large red wine glass. If you have a goblet, you go on with your bad self! Pop the champy and pour yourself a healthy glass. Top it off with as much Pom-Lemonade as you wish, throw in a few ice cubs (the colder this drink, the better!) and garnish with a fresh strawberry if you're feeling extra fancy on a Monday Tuesday Friday night!
The only problem? This cocktail has no name! Shame on me. Any ideas out there?
Happy Thursday, Loyals! If any of you decide to imbibe in this tasty little drinky drink, make sure to head on back here and let me know how much you enjoyed it! Cheers! Tomorrow, look for me over here at jdavissquared! I'll be guest-posting for the lovely Jen as she takes off for a lovely Girl's Weekend!
This looks delish!

ReplyDeleteI need to make some of your concoctions ASAP.
Totally going to have to try this. There's no vodka, but it could still be an AP-tini!
ReplyDeleteYum! I do this with champy, lemonade, and cranberry juice or pom juice...but yours is better because it's only 2 ingredients!
ReplyDeleteA name, a name...LMS Lemonade? Mommy's Pommy Punchies? Found My Shit in A Glass? :)

ReplyDeleteSounds delish!
Awesome concoction!!! I'm not normally a champagne drinker (little too bubbly for me), but I might have to try this! I love anything with some lemonade in it. I'm currently a little obsessed with Minute Maid Lemonade mixed with Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka. Hello, heaven! ;o)
ReplyDeleteBTW--It's Pina Colada Day today! Yes, there is REALLY a day set aside JUST to celebrate the drink. Awesome.
