Left Carter with Daddy in the waiting room of the doctor's office while Mommy ran in for a "quick" appointment?
And swore up and down that the diaper bag was stocked with all of the necessities? Diapers, wipes, extra onesies, butt cream, toys and blankies?
But then Carter poo'd one of his infamous loads?
And Daddy was forced to change Carter in the lobby of the medical building?
And wipe his nakey hiney with... PACIFIER WIPES?
Because Mommy forgot to replenish the travel wipes container.
Did you know that pacifier wipes are approximately one-eighth the size of a real wipe?
I didn't know either.
But hey, it worked.
Nice improvisation, Daddy. Always thinking on your feet. You rock!

haha! Go Daddy!!! That's awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I guess this is what happens when you have a baby! :)
ReplyDeleteReminds me of when I went for my 6-week postpartum check-up. Connor came with me to my appointment, two hours from home. I timed it perfectly that I would feed before leaving, arrive early to the appt., feed in the parking garage, and head to my appointment. I brought plenty of clothes for Connor. While feeding him, he pooped... on himself and me! Changing him the backseat, both diaper and clothes while it is 100 degrees outside? Not fun! Plus the obvious poop stain on my shorts. Sigh.. I am sure there will be more stories like this to come!
ReplyDeletewell at least his butt probably smelled good! I love the way those pacifier wipes smell!
ReplyDeleteWay to go dad! Hey it's gonna happen, right?! I always love your stories.
ReplyDeleteHaha!!!!! What an experience. Now he will never take regular wipes for granted again, lol. That will make for a good memory.
ReplyDeleteOops! My poor husband would have been S.O.L since we "rough it" and don't even own pacifier wipes.
ReplyDeletehahah how funny! I love this little cutie, what a great little boy, xxxoo
ReplyDeleteYikes! Well someone did it for your husband at one point, so it's only fair that he repays the favor!
ReplyDeleteHysterical. And yes, those things are so tiny and hardly have any moisture. I bet that was so funny :) But yay daddy!
ReplyDeletego dad go!! our first pediatrician appt which was approximately 2 days after bringing baby home and after a sleepless night to boot I was asked if I had a diaper..ummm surely I do, right?? I look at hubs in panic..we got diapers, right??? don't worry he said I stuffed backups in your handbag ;)
ReplyDeletegotta love the hubbys!
LOL! You were just breaking him in. From now on, he can NEVER complain about changing a dirty diaper because you can always say "Well honey, at least you had wipes this time!" :)
ReplyDeleteat emmalines first appt the day aftr she was born.. while walking out the door he said he was getting the diaper bag I said I would get it and turns out nobody got it
