Oh hi! Welcome to Week Two of Project Pinterest!
If you're new here, this is a WEEKLY link-up that encourages you to not only pin, pin, pin but do! do! do! I know I'm not the only one who finds it SO easy to pin beautiful rooms, creative crafts, delicious recipes and gorgeous outfits. But how often do we actually DO what we pin?
This link-up was created to change that. Each week I ask that you bake, make, decorate or create just ONE of your pins. Take pictures, write about it, include the Project Pinterest button that you see in my sidebar and return here to link up your post. [In order to copy the code in my sidebar, highlight it and use your Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut.]
For every post that links up, I will be pinning it to my Project Pinterest pin board! Easy as pumpkin pie.
Speaking of pumpkins, this weeks Project Pinterest idea came to me from this pin. I've seen similar stacked pumpkins display carved house address numbers, spooky Halloween faces and holiday-appropriate words. I knew, however, that I wanted to do something a bit different.
I also knew I wanted to use fake pumpkins with the hope that I could pack them away at the end of the season and use them again for years to come. After seeing my final product and how it didn't quite turn out the way I saw it in my head, I can't say with any certainty that these suckers will be making any repeat appearances.
Here's where you can learn from my mistakes:
I think next week I'll bake something, no? So, what are you waiting for? Link-up below! I cannot wait to see what you all have whipped up this week! Happy Monday!
Those look awesome! They're pumpkins - I don't think they have to be super straight lines ;) I need to join you in this pinterest project but honestly, I'm too chicken to make that commitment. I'm there in spirit though! :)
ReplyDeleteYou could always paint them black and make new lines with orange paint :)
ReplyDeleteI think they are cute!
So funny! I am WAY too impatient to do the prep work, then I end up spending double the time to find a way to remove the paint and start over OR cover up my mistakes... I love the fall inspired pin project - Im pumpkin obsessed!
ReplyDeleteThose turned out great, especially since you free-handed it!!!!! I love the chevron..as always.....I am hoping to do something like this this week...can you share how you got the pumpkins to stay together?

ReplyDeleteI think they look great! Plus from the street or whatever, they'll look awesome. And good call on the fake pumpkins. No rotting and no cleaning that nasty shit out. ;)
ReplyDeleteI seriously love this link up. I am about to sit down with a glass of wine and read ALL of them :) You're the best hostess ever, AP! BTW--love these pumpkins. I think they look fab, even if they're not perfectly lined out. Perfection isn't pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI think they look great!! What if you try putting a fancy letter on one? OR you could try washing the paint off? that way you don't have to 'throw 'em out'...
ReplyDeleteI would put them on my porch!
Un-crafty me thinks these look super, and clever you for doing the fake ones you can re-use.
ReplyDeleteApologies I couldn't participate in PP today - we had family in town over the weekend / my usual Pinterest stalking time - but I hope to get back on the wagon soon.
