Sugar-Dusted {Valentine} Brownie Bites

Whenever I think of Valentine's Day, I immediately think sweet, decadent and indulgent. Typically this translates into something chocolate and today I'm sharing one of the easiest treat recipes I've ever made. These sugar-dusted Valentine brownie bites make the perfect dessert whether you're looking for a quick classroom party snack or a tasty post-romantic-dinner-for-two treat.

What's even better? This dessert can be tailored for any holiday and it all starts with boxed brownie mix. I told you it was easy.

Prep time: 30 minutes Start to Finish: 1 hour 30 minutes Calories: 140 (1 cupcake)

What you'll need:

1 box brownie mix
Water, eggs and oil according to brownie mix box
24 paper cupcake cups
Confectioner's sugar
Sifter (optional)

What you'll do:

1. Heat oven to 350*F. Place paper baking cup in each of 18-24 regular size muffin cups. Spray cups with cooking spray. Make brownie batter as directed on box.

2. Fill each baking cup 1/2 way with batter.

3. Bake 20-24 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 20 minutes and then carefully remove paper baking cups from muffins. Cool upside down about 15 minutes or until completely cool.

4. Cut small heart shape from paper or cardboard box. Place on bottom of cupcake and sift confectioner's sugar over cupcake. Carefully remove heart and repeat with remaining cupcakes!

I have had such fun challenging myself each week to come up with projects for the Dog Days (of Winter) Are Over project challenge. Even more so, I've loved browsing through each and every one of the projects that YOU'VE created and linked up! I can't wait to be inspired by what you've been baking, making and decorating for this week's LOVE IT challenge.

Don't forget, if you link up your project on just one of our blogs it will be seen on all NINE!
