For example, our office is currently a hodge-podge of mismatched furniture. A futon and an old desk from my husband's college years takes up most of the space. Aside from the fact that it's my least favorite room in the house, it's also the singular room in our house that somehow escaped the mass painting exodus that took place shortly after moving in. Perhaps I'll be doing a bit of browsing through CSNStores hundreds of online stores for some chic new modern office furniture. After all, I'm partnering with them once again and have a product review underway.
I know what you're thinking, "But that's only one room, AP!" Au contraire. The family room lacks an area rug so that Carter has a bit of cushioning to play on between him and the
The dining room, well, that's missing the dining room table and chairs- I don't even want to get into that mess. The living room? Drapes. Carter's room? An accent rug and shelves. The master bedroom? Drapes and a custom headboard. See what I mean? I try not to think about it because it drives me absolutely bonkers. It also doesn't help that I'm the second most impatient person in the entire world. Second only to my son, that is.
Bear with me. Teach me patience. Thank the decor gods above for CSNStores. I have a feeling I'll be knocking at least one of those missing items off of my list very soon! Did I mention I also need a Crock-Pot . . .
i love this post for many reasons, but mainly because it makes me feel like maybe i'm not horribly disorganized, but just slightly :D 2 years in my home and nothing is done (although the nursery is well on its way to be the only room complete!)
ReplyDeleteI do not feel sorry for you...I have lived here for 9 years and its not at all complete!! I can't believe you tackled moving pregnant!
ReplyDeleteMy home office is a disaster- it shares space with our guest room and so one half is nice w/ the guest bed and bedside table....and the other half is boxes, tupperware bins, a desk and piles of papers. I told my husband we are tackling this this year.
ReplyDeleteOk, then I'm the third most impatient person in the world. I've been in my house almost three years and I feel the same way! I think a lot of it was that first year or so we were really trying to figure out our style and what we wanted the house to look like. Our apartment was beachy chic, but, our house has a more rustic look and feel--thus, beachy chic was out and we had to start over. Oy vey!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to hear what item you picked... Im about to post my item review from csn... we got the fisher price activity table
